This is an example of how hazardous the highways are around the Gold Coast city, as there is clearly no room for a cyclist to maneuver, and motorists are expected to veer around or slow down when a cyclist is in this section.
There is no sign directing the cyclist onto the pathway or a safe distance to cycle on the busy highway.
Evidently these hazardous road areas need focusing by the Queensland Government to benefit the everyday cyclist, along with many more.
