In conclusion, Bicycle Queensland Inc is pro actively promoting this method of transportation by associating itself with The National Bike to Work Day. However, more methods need to be taken on board by the Bicycle Queensland Inc to promote this activity on the Gold Coast.
The Queensland Government does have a basic information guide available providing the cyclist and motorist safety strategies. However, it needs to provide more information regarding how to cycle more safely and how cars should manoeuvre around cyclists.
The Queensland Government also have provided more maps with a listing of the cycle paths and have constructed more cycle safety zones around the Gold Coast area, but clearly this isn’t enough as the roads are very hazardous and these particular maps provided do not direct the cyclist to any destination.
The Google Map provided does offer a description on how to get to every destination on the Gold Coast, but it doesn’t provide a safer alternative than the most direct and most hazardous. However, there are alternative sites available offering this facility, but Google Map is simply the host to this service and it doesn’t hold a high traffic rank compared to the official Google Map.
